What do we do with the personal information?
- We ask you to provide us personal information such as your name, email address and information about your interests of Mallorca.
- We use your personal information to provide personalised portions of our site that are intended to provide just the information you are interested in receiving.
- We use information about what you are searching for to help focus the advertisements we present to you, hopefully to make them more valuable to you.
- Occasionally we will send you email communications to provide information which we think you will find useful, including information about new products and services available through Ojored. It is our policy only to send email to customers who give us permission to do so. In every such email, we will also have instructions on how to unsubscribe so that you will not receive any future emails from Ojored if you do not wish to do so.
With whom do we share this information?
Currently we do not supply personal information to any other person or business and we have no intention of doing so. However, should this situation change (e.g. for legal reasons), we will advise you in advance and ask your permission.
What can you do to update or remove your personal information from the System?
Go to the Preferences Section of the Site, enter your User ID and Password. The details we hold about you will be shown. Make any alterations as required and update your record. Alternatively, you can delete your record completely.
As the Site develops, the facilities offered by the Site will increase. The Preferences screen will alter accordingly. Wherever possible, if a new facility which involves some degree of personalisation, the default will be not to include you but advise you by email of the provision of the new function or facility and ask you to elect to join in.
Data Protection
Ojored complies with European Legislation on Data Protection which means that it complies with the eight enforceable principles of good practice. They say that data must be:

You willingly provide us with information about you and we do not collect it without your knowledge. We only ask for sufficient information to meet the needs of the Web Site. We do not currently share this personal information with anyone else, let alone in another Country. We provide you with facilities to maintain the record we hold about you. We will confirm membership on a regular basis automatically and archive inactive user records after one year of inactivity. We hold all the information on proprietary secure systems using respected operating systems and database products.
Problems with Ojored Forums
We will not allow our News Servers to be used for unacceptable purposes, which includes creating and sending illegal, abusive, libelous or improper messages. If we receive proven reports of such activity, the user account on the News Server will be terminated immediately.
